As a way of showing our gratitude and thanking our beloved Suki PCSO Scratch It customers for supporting us in our small business, we of Happy Win Lotto Station started a Raffle Draw last August 1 to September 30, 2011 which culminated in the drawing of the 4 Lucky Happy Win Lotto customers who each won a Brand-new Samsung E1080T cellphone!!!!

The Raffle Draw was held at about 5:30pm October 4, 2011 and the following attended and witnessed the drawing of the winning entries:

Do You Allow Dictation at Your Lotto Outlet?

 This is a perennial problem at most pcso lotto outlets and a source of endless battle with some insistent and not-always-aged lotto bettors, and this is the issue of a lotto customer not wanting to fill-up the pcso lotto playslip card and insisting on dictating his/her bet.

We do not allow dictation because:

1.  Errors often occur which leads to cancellation of pcso lotto tickets.  (Even if the lotto operator may cancel the lotto ticket, PCSO will question the lotto agent if the peso amount of cancelled lotto tickets are significant.  This may even lead to the retraining of the lotto operator or worse, termination of said lotto operator.)

2.  If the lotto customer had already left the lotto outlet only to return complaining of wrong lotto numbers, the lotto operator can no longer cancel the said lotto ticket after 5 minutes have passed from its issuance time/date.

3.  Dictation of lotto bets is a big source of delay and causes unnecessary lines to form and this irritates the other lotto bettors.  At worse, they will leave and go to another lotto outlet if it takes too long for us to serve them.

The usual reason given for the insistence of dictation is poor eyesight.  But the funny thing we noticed is that when we allow the dictation, this same customer who dictated his lotto bet is able to count his change and check the small numbers printed on the lotto ticket.  Hay!!!!!!

The Ballpen Problem of a Lotto Agent

Obviously, the lowly ballpen is the most important tool to be found in any lotto outlet and yet it is also the source of frustration and headache at our lotto outlet.

1.  During the months of April to June, we would lose a number of our ballpens as it is Enrolment and School Opening time;

2.  If we put high-quality ballpens like Pilot or Bic, it will surely disappear the minute I place them in the lotto outlet.

3.  Previously,  we used to just tie the ballpen to our lotto kiosk sides itself using a heavy duty string that is attached to the end of the ballpen using packaging tape.

4.  Unfortunately, smart people will get the pen cartridge inside the ballpen and leave the plastic body shell behind.  Now, we almost literally cover the whole length of the ballpen in packaging tape.

5.  And, to top it all, our lotto customers do not want to wait for a ballpen to be freed by another user.  They want a ballpen immediately!!!!

Still On Rising Manila Floods: For Those Safe, Have We Thanked Our God?

GMA NEWS & ABS-CBN BALITA, the bad news keep on pouring in of rising floodwaters with no let up.

News item of residents in a part of Manila who refuse to evacuate for the simple reason THEY DO NOT KNOW WHERE TO GO.

Families leaving behind all their few belongings.

And how about the scores of DEATHS reported. Can any of you ever contemplate DEATH by drowning due to a normal thing as floodwaters?

For those of us in our houses keeping warm with a hot cup of Milo or coffee, have we said Thank you to Him and have we remembered to say a Prayer for Our Lord to Help those who are now out in the cold rain shivering and without food?

My supervisor is saddened with news that floodwaters have entered her sister's home in Cainta, Rizal east of Manila. I know the family and yearly I spend my summer vacations with them. They are good people.

Let's pray for them.
