Have You Heard About Keno and Do You Know How to Earn In It?

To make sure what I post is correct word by word, I want you to read below the excerpt About Keno from the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office or PCSO website:

Keno Logo courtesy of Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office or PCSO

What is Keno?

It is an online game of chance that was first introduced in the state of Nevada, U.S.A., in 1931. It was originally called "Horse Race Keno," and was derived from the ancient Chinese lottery system played by the early Chinese immigrants to California in the 1800's. But there was never a horse race keno. It was a strategy to make the illegal Chinese lottery legal. Eventually, the game was simply called Keno, and spread to the rest of America, Europe and Australia. Keno is widely played in France, the states of New York, Maryland, Oregon, Rhode Island, Georgia and Washington, among others in the United States; in Canada and in Australia.

How is it Played?

If you have been to casinos, you might have seen or actually played the roulette game. The keno is like playing the online roulette but with slight variations. There are 80 numbers to choose from, instead of 38; and there are more permutations.

How to Play Keno?

In each Keno draw, 20 numbers are drawn from the numbers 1 to 80. To win, your chosen numbers should match the numbers drawn. You can win big or small depending on how many numbers you choose and how much you play. Here's how.

In the Playslip:

Superlotto 6/49
  • Choose how many numbers you want to play (minimum 1, maximum 10). Mark your choice in the Spot Area.
  • Pick your lucky number(s). Mark them in the Selection Area.
  • Mark how much you want to play in the Amount Area. You can play a minimum of P10.
  • Give your PLAYSLIP to the Keno Attendant who will give you a ticket to confirm your selection.
  • Always check your printed ticket details carefully before the draw starts.
(ALL OF THE ABOVE IS COURTESY OF THE PHILIPPINE CHARITY SWEEPSTAKES OFFICE OR PCSO)

Apart from selling PCSO Lotto tickets and Instant Game Cards, a Lotto Agent can also earn by selling Keno tickets.

A new draw is held every 10 minutes or more than a 100 draws per day.

The Lotto Agent's Gross commission is similar to LOTTO at 5% less 5% withholding tax for a net of 4.75%.

It is similar to the format of the Off Track Betting station of the Horse Races wherein people place their bets and watch the results in a Big Screen.  For the OTB, they watch the horse race while in Keno, you watch the LCD screen display 20 numbers 1-80 one at a time.

If your Lotto outlet has a restaurant or bar, then this is a nice addition as the lotto bettors can sit and watch for hours while ordering food and drinks from your Resto.  Neat, isn't it?

The technical partner of the PCSO is the Total Gaming Technologies Inc., a sister company of Pacific Online Systems Corp, the same company that supplies the bestselling ScratchIt Cards like  Go Banana, Red Hot and Lucky Dragon.  The terminal, scanner and printer is smaller in size than the PGMC Flex terminal but of course, you need to provide for a LCD Monitor as well as the CPU (or Thin Sync Microlot) to display the draw results.

It would be nice if Total Gaming Technologies could show a short 6-minute video in between draws displaying the Keno Game mechanics as well as the Keno Big Winners (up to p1 Million).

PCSO LOTTO 6/55 NOW P113 MILLION. NO WINNER YET!!!!!

Yippeee!!!!!! NOBODY WON YET THE 6/55 GRAND LOTTO in yesterday's Draw.  The PCSO 6/55 Jackpot is now Php 113,144,277.60.

Newsclipping when the All-Time 6/55 PCSO Lotto Jackpot of P741 Million was still at P620 Million.  I hope the present 6/55 WILL EXCEED THE PREVIOUS RECORD PCSO LOTTO JACKPOT.
For the information of interested small businessmen thinking of setup of their Own Lotto Outlet, the sales of a lotto agent is tied to the level of the Jackpot of a particular Lotto game.  If the Jackpot is high as in the level of P200 Million and up, LOTTO SALES WILL GO UP, to wit:

                   1.  Existing lotto bettors bet more;

PCSO LOTTO 6/55 Playslip & Lotto ticket
                   2.  Those who SNUB THE LOTTO especially the Rich folks because they feel Lotto is for the lowly Masses (you know who you are hehehehehe) cannot help but also bet because of the chance of winning a couple of million pesos.  (MONEY IS MONEY EVEN IF IT COMES FROM THE POOR MAN'S LOTTO OUTLET such as mine.);

                   3.  The Investors or what I call the "NAMUMUHUNAN" meaning BIG ROLLERS who play the odds and win the 5-numbers and other consolation prizes will start betting when Lotto Jackpot are at P200 Million & up.  Example if you make a System 12 bet on the PCSO Lotto 6/55:  A single combination of 12-numbers will cost you P18,480.00  but if you just get 5-numbers, your Total Winnings (inc all the possible 5-number, 4-number & 3-number prizes from 924 possible combinations out of the 12-numbers) is about P1.3 Million!!!!!!

Expect Lines of lotto bettors when the PCSO Lotto Jackpot hits P200 Million & up
If the PCSO Lotto 6/55 Game reaches P300 Million without being won, then at least we lotto agents have a chance to earn a little more to pay for our overheads.  CROSS OUR FINGERS AND TOES!!!!!

Doctor of Medicine Wants to Setup Her Own Lotto Outlet

Today at 3pm, I had the pleasure of meeting a fine person in the name of Dr. J. who expressed her desire to setup her own Lotto Outlet and decided to attend my One on One Consultation on How to Setup and Operate Your Own Lotto Outlet.

What was planned as a 2-hour meeting covering more than 10 topics stretched to about 4 hours thereabouts as she came prepared with her queries about the Lotto business.  And to show her seriousness, she had to travel all the way from Calabarzon, south of Manila  to Quezon City just to meet me. Wow!!!!  That is Intent.

We discussed among other things, the following:

1.  Total Cashout Investment for Your Own Lotto Outlet ( It is much much smaller than you think!!!! Don't believe what people tell you.)

2.  Why Lotto is for the Long term (PANG-MATAGALAN NA NEGOSYO)

3.  How to Evaluate a Site For Lotto

4.  What to Pay Your Lotto Operator

5.  Setting an Incentive Plan for Your Lotto Operator

6.  How to Prevent Fraud by Outsiders

7.  Security of Equipment and of Person in a Lotto Business

8.  How to Market My Lotto Outlet , and much more.

My Happy Win Lotto Outlet.  (This is what keeps me and my staff's family ALIVE.
Not only that, unlike my other clients, she has already done her homework as she revealed that she already has 2 outlets in mind, a Mall location as well as One along a busy thoroughfare and that she had already scouted the area as to direction of pedestrian traffic, possible crowd-drawers such as a planned Jollibee and Chowking and being near typical lotto bettor haunts as a pawnshop and a bank.  Top it all, a palengke or market nearby.  After confiding in all these plus a reasonable rent, I TOLD HER TO JUST GET IT BEFORE SOMEBODY ELSE DOES!!!!!!!

My only request to Dr. J is to invite me on the opening day of her LOTTO OUTLET.

P.S.  Dr. J, thank you too for being a reader of my blog.  You do not know how happy that makes me to know that somebody reads what I have to share.  GODSPEED TO ALL YOUR VENTURES, NOW AND THOSE STILL TO COME.

What A Relief- - - Have Paid My Lotto Renewal Fee Already

Last Tuesday June 19, 2012, I went to the Central Operations Department of the PCSO to renew my Lotto Agency Contract for another 2 years as well as paid the Annual Premium on my P700,000 Surety Insurance with Alpha Insurance and Surety Company Inc., the accredited Bonding Company of the PCSO.

Under Lotto CC80-2012-02 dated 3.16.2012, effective April 1, 2012, all Lotto Agents must renew their Lotto Agency contract 2 months before the expiration of the existing contract.  Likewise, the PCSO will no longer be issuing Notice of Expiration to Lotto Agents.

Rather than risk unnecessary distress on my part, I paid all my dues this day.

Our Happy Win Lotto Station Installs New Signage Showing New PCSO Logo

This is the new PCSO Logo "Panalo Pusong Pilipino" that all Lotto agents are required to display in their own Lotto Outlets AS PER LOTTO CIRCULAR # PCSO-2011-05 dated 08.10.2011
As per a recent PCSO Regulation, all lotto agents are required to submit a picture showing their lotto outlets displaying the latest PCSO Logo "Panalo Pusong Pilipino" prior to approval of their Renewal of their Agency Contract with the PCSO.

I just thought of showing in Images the change from the old "Lotto Play Here" Logo to the PCSO's new "Panalo Pusong Pilipino" logo:

Step 1 - The PCSO-accredited contractor applies double-sided adhesive over our old signage showing the old PCSO Logo.

Step 2 - Contractor now attaches the new signage with the new PCSO Logo "Panalo Pusong Pilipino".  It is a huge sticker over a sintra board (like an illustration board).  The Sintra signage is then stuck over the double-sided tape thereby covering the old signage.

Step 3 -  Not part of the said PCSO Regulation on Signages, I required the contractor to instal a 1mm thick Clear Acrylic Sheet on top of the new PCSO sticker + sintra board.

The purpose of the Acrylic sheet is :

        1.  It prevents people especially unsupervised kids from writing graffiti over the signage (which
will rapidly destroy the look of the signage and make it look so dirty after a short while)

       2.  The Acrylic Sheet will prevent the sticker below from prematurely aging due to exposure to the
environment such as dust and heat and  aging due to constant lighting exposure.

      3.  The Acrylic sheet greatly enhances the look of the PCSO Logo by making the colours really
shine and look more vivid.  (You gotta see it to believe how much better it looks!!!)

The 2 contractors holding the invisible Acrylic sheet to place it in position over the new PCSO Logo signage.

Step 4 - The contractor drill metal screws to securely fasten the Acrylic sheet over the PCSO Logo signage.  (Unfortunately, this procedure had its share of dismay.  Because the Acrylic Sheet is only 1mm thick, a portion of the Acrylic sheet cracked when the contractor drilled into it.  ----- I could have insisted that the sheet be replaced but as borne by the worried look of the contractor, I knew his boos will charge him for it.  So, I chose not to have it replaced.  Good thing the damaged portion was under the lighting edge.)

The last step was to have the contractor apply 3M clear adhesive tape all around the edges of Acrylic sheet to prevent dust from entering the edges between the PCSO logo signage and the Acrylic sheet.

Step 5 -- Start selling Lotto tickets (to get back the cost of the whole exercise. Hehehehehe

Finally, the finished product displaying the New PCSO "Panalo Pusong Pilipino" signage at our Happy Win Lotto Kiosk.       Taya Na!!!!!

The new signage showing the new PCSO Logo "Panalo Pusong Pilipino" makes our kiosk frontage look a lot cleaner too.

2012 Pacific Online ScratchIt Keno Sales Rally for NCR PCSO Lotto Agents

Sometime early May, 2012 I was invited by Mr.Jay Jamias, Pacific Online Systems (POSC) National Sales Manager for ScratchIt Instant Game Cards, to share my experiences as one of the ScratchIt Resellers in Metro Manila during their 2012 Sales Rally for Keno and ScratchIt.

There were 2 events:  One was held at the Golden Bay Restaurant near MOA for South GMA lotto agents last May 10, 2012 and another at The Elements ( similar to the NBC Tent at the Fort) in Centris Quezon Avenue for North GMA lotto agents last May 17, 2012.

During both events there were VIPs both from our Business Partner, the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office or PCSO like Mr. Arnel Casas, Head of Central Operations Divison, Mr. Jun Fufugal and members of Central Operations as well as  officers of Pacific Online Systems Corp, like Mr. Willie Ocier (Vice Chairman and Active proponent of the Macao-rivalling Nayong Pilipino Casino Complex along the Manila Bay), Roger Go (POSC Director), Mr.Jamias, Ms. Gina Abohanda (VP Sales) and so many other important persons too many to name.

Some of my fellow PCSO Lotto agents
This is me with Litex PCSO Lotto Agent Mannielyn Roquid & Lotto Operator Rizza Ignacio
Mr. Arnel Casas, Head of Central Operations of the PCSO, sharing with us Lotto Agents his experience and knowledge in our PCSO Business.
The President of Total Gaming Technologies Inc., provider of Keno in the Philippines & a sister company of Pacific Online Systems Corp or POSC, encouraging us PCSO Lotto Agents to secure our own Keno outlet.

That's Ms Athena Bromeo sharing her experiences as a Multi-branch Keno as well as PCSO Lotto outlet entrepreneur (someone whom all of us Lotto agents can aspire to).

In both affairs, not only were us lotto agents exposed to other means of increasing our livelihood such as Scratch It Instant Game Cards and Keno, it was a chance for me (and also of all) to meet my fellow lotto agents and exchange laughable stories of laughable customers, ways of improving our business and some such.

Lastly, the food was terrific with Chinese Lauriat at the Golden Bay Restaurant and sumptuous Buffet at the Elements.  Of course, yours truly junked my diet and dug in (the food, that is).

Pacific Online Presents Cash Reward to My Lotto Staff

Last week, Mr. Christian Lugtu, Sales Supervisor for Pacific Online Systems Corp. (my supplier for the bestselling PCSO Scratch It Instant Game Cards)together with a representative of Lucky Seven Inc. (Pacific Online's distributor for North GMA to which I belong) visited my Lotto Outlet to present the Cash Reward to my Lotto Staff for achieving our Sales Target for the First Quarter of 2012.

My staff waited for me to arrive so that I can open the Cash Envelope and give them their share of the Cash Reward. Let's just say the timing of the Cash Reward could not have been at a better opportune time:

1. My Lotto operator was worried as she has to undergo an operation to extract a troublesome Wisdom tooth and there, the funds arrive.

2. Mr backup Lotto operator said she will buy herself a new blouse.

3. And finally, my supervisor spent part of her Reward to celebrate Father's Day with her Dad and family. \
That's Mr Christian Lugtu of Pacific Online on the left when last year,  he presented the Condura 3/4hp Aircon that our Lotto Outlet received for achieving the required number of Sales Reward Points for 2011.  (Photo courtesy of Pacific Online Systems Corp./ Scratch It PCSO Instant Game Cards)

So there, as a Scratch It Reseller, I have an incentive to keep on selling more!

The Unbelievable Pacquiao Bradley Boxing As Analyzed By My Lotto Outlet Customers

Pacquiao Bradley Boxing pic courtesy of Yahoo.com

As with any Boxing Match with our very own Manny Pacquiao, there were very few customers yesterday morning as most Lotto bettors (at least for the Male Species) decided to watch the :Live Boxing via Pay Per View Telecast or stay at home to watch on their own TV sets the Mucho Delayed Telecast of the much-advertised Pacquiao Bradley Boxing Match (wherein every minute of actual Boxing Time was followed by a GALACTIC HOUR OF TV AD COMMERCIALS).

Of course notwithstanding the millions of pairs of eyes who watched the Fight and thought Pacquiao won, the 2 Judges with 2 pairs of eyes between them decided otherwise and made Timothy Bradley the winner.  What it means is that you can win about 8 Rounds of a 12 Round boxing match and STILL LOSE!!!

Now back to Lotto.  Towards the late afternoon when most Filipinos got over their Loss (as in Loss in their Pacquiao bets), they decided to pay a visit to my Lotto outlet to bet.  Here is some of the Boxing Analysis  as brought forth by my Much Beloved Lotto customers:

1.  "You could win all the rounds and still lose to the judging."  (Of course, nobody made mention of the controversial boxing match of Pacquiao and Morales (?) wherein the Mexicanos were enraged on how come PacMan was declared the MUCHO WINNER.)

2.  "It was the work of the Mafia."

3.  "You could hug your opponent (Bradley  hugs, that is) all night and still win the boxing fight."

4.  "Pacquiao had to lose to make sure there will be a rematch.  Another MONEY-MAKING gimmick."

5.  "Pacquiao had to lose otherwise had he won, Boxing would die as there would be no one to fight Pacquiao anymore."

6.  "Pacquiao lost because while Bradley was already sweating from his warmup, Pacquiao was watching the Miami Heat- Boston Celtics NBA game."

7.  "The judges were fair.  Pacquiao is not his former strong self.  His last Knockout was in 2009(?)."  (The only lotto bettor to side with the judges.)

8.  Jessica Sanchez had to sing the National Anthem of the US of A (and not our National Anthem) because:

"  Had she sang the Philippine Anthem, the father of Jessica who happens to be a Mexican would get
angry and the Mexicanos were already angry about the controversial win of Pacquiao last time he
fought a Mexican. "    Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm  In the interest of marital bliss as Jessica's
mom is a Filipina, let the American Idol Runnerup sing the National Anthem of the US of A.

And so, that sums up my view of the Pacquiao Bradley boxing match straight from my Lotto outlet (and not from MGM Plaza, Las Vegas).  Good day.
