GMA NEWS and ABS-CBN News have been blaring out news of relentless rising waters with no let-up in sight.

News item about the town in Marilai, north of Manila, wherein they have only 2 rescue rubber boats and both are damaged from past floods. Somebody forgot to repair tem.

Have you counted your Blessings? (foto courtesy of feww.wordpress.com)
News item of some Manila residents who refuse to evacuate for the simple reason RHEY DON'T KNOW WHERE TO GO.

For those in our homes drinking a cup of warm Milo or coffee, haveWE taken the time to thank Our Lord and say a Prayer for those who are now suffering immense hardship under the relentless pouring rains & rising waters with no home, no clothing but the shirt on their back and nothing to eat?

When was the last time we said THANK YOU LORD?  (image courtesy of sucessagainstallodds.com)

Floods Everywhere But Our Lotto Outlet Is Open

(P.S. This actually happened Aug 7, 2012 and not the Post date of 080612)

GMA News weatherman looks ridiculous saying EXPECT STRONG WINDS, STRONG RAINS AND LOTS OF FLOOD BUT ........ BUT THERE IS NO STORM!!!!! Geeezzzz!!!!

PCSO HEAD OFFICE is closed so I can't submit my weekly reports. PNB bank all branches are closed, so no remittance. All private and government offices are closed. Schools of course are closed too.

But, the Pcso Lotto draw will proceed!  And that's why our lotto outlet has to open too.

UPDATE:  We eventually stopped selling at around 3pm as the Mall Management declared that the Mall will close at 4pm.

Thankfully, it was not totally a Zero-sales day as some grocery buyers dropped by to place a bet.

Don't get wet.  Drink warm. Take care, my valued readers.

News of Dolphy Passing Away Spurred A Dolphy Fever At The Lotto Outlets

DOLPHY WILL BE MISSED BY MANY(Photo courtesy of mintscreen.com)
Call this PROOF THAT DOLPHY, THE COUNTRY'S COMEDIAN EXTRAORDINAIRE, HAS TOUCHED THE HEARTS OF SO MANY FILIPINOS INCLUDING MY REGULAR LOTTO BETTORS.

Since news of his death last July 10, 2012, many lotto bettors were betting the EZ2 2-Digit and Swertres 3-Digit games (both of which have 3 draws a day: 11am, 4pm and 9pm)that are a combination of important numbers in Dolphy's life.

The lotto bettings reached CRITICAL MASS (or near fanaticism) when on 3 draw days, DOLPHY NUMBERS CAME OUT IN THE DRAW RESULTS:

8-3-4 Swertres Dolphy died at exactly 8:34pm July 10, 2012

3-8 EZ2 Dolphy was aged 83 years old when he passed away

25-7 EZ2 Dolphy's Birthday is July 25.

An example of the typical lotto bet combinations last July 15, 2012, Sunday which happened to be also his Internment:

7-15 Internment

7-1-5 Internment

10-15 Dates of Death and Burial

7-2-5

7-25 (Winning combo if you betted EZ2 Ramble 25-7)

10-25 Date of death and birth

8-3-4 and all its permutations (4-3-8, 3-4-8 etc; winning combo if you better
Swertres Straight & Ramble; Pays P4,500 per P10 of 3Digit Straight or
P750 per P10 if 3Digit Ramble)

People were getting frustrated when as early as 11am I was already telling my lotto bettors that any lotto bet combination that has something to do with Dolphy (the Dolphy bets) is probably SOLD OUT ALREADY.

And for those who saw that his time of death (8-3-4), age (3-8) or his birthday (25-7) came out as winning combinations which meant many Filipino lotto bettors won, my lotto bettors said THIS IS DOLPHY'S WAY OF GIVING BACK TO THEM.

Good Bye, Dear Dolphy.  You brought Laughter Into Our Life Amidst Our Moments of Sadness(Photo courtesy of juanmanilaexpress.com)
SO THERE, EVEN IN DEATH, FILIPINO LOTTO BETTORS BELIEVE DOLPHY NEVER FORGOT THE COMMON MAN. AND I THINK, THAT IS HOW DOLPHY WOULD HAVE WANTED TO BE REMEMBERED.....
